  • About The Conference

    This year’s All India Cell Biology (AICB) conference of the Indian Society of Cell Biology (ISCB) is being organized by the Department of Biochemistry, University of Kashmir. The conference will be a great platform for the cell biologists at the national and international level to share and discuss their scientific findings, with a particular emphasis on understanding the mechanisms of the human diseases at the cellular and molecular level. The conference will be held in the hybrid mode (offline and online), so that participants who are unable to join us physically can also join the event. We hope that scientists and students will together generate a great scientific enthusiasm during this conference and make this event a memorable one.

    About The Department

    The Department of Biochemistry is one of the oldest departments of the University and was established in 1983. It is supported by the DST-FIST grant that enabled us to procure several high quality equipments and upgrade our instrumentation facility. In addition, the faculty members have also obtained several generous extramural grants from various funding agencies like DBT, DST, ICMR etc., which has contributed towards building a decent research infrastructure. The major areas of research in the department are Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Signal transduction, Medicinal plants, Epigenetics etc. The department has a rich history of producing high quality scientists, academicians, administrators (Vice Chancellors, Directors of institutes, Deans etc.). Our students and faculty members have gone for advanced studies and trainings (Ph.D, Post-doctorate) to internationally reputed institutes both at the national and international levels.

    Submission Of Abstracts

    To participate in the conference, you need to first register yourself on the online portal. Following steps are needed for the registration:
    1. Create a user account by clicking on registration.
    2. After login into your account, you will have to pay the fees to be able to participate in the conference.
    3. You can submit your abstract along with the relevant details in the portal. One (first) author can submit only one abstract.
    4. Registration and abstract acceptance will be confirmed after the submission of the fees.

    During the conference, students will have a unique opportunity to present their work. Based on the abstracts, students will be shortlisted for oral talks and poster presentations. Awards will be given to the ones who have the best posters and talks.
